After showing our audience our thriller opening, we gained some
positive feedback of what worked well and what they liked about it. They
found that the opening fit the thriller theme well since it had a
noticeable antagonist and they also found that the voice-over helped
them understand what was going on. However they found that the ambient
music was quite loud and the part at the end of the sequence where the
bad guy appears behind the protagonist didn't have the impact it needed.
To
improve we toned down the ambient music to help focus on the
voice-overs and we added a jump scare sound effect when the robber
appears behind the protagonist, to assist in creating suspense for the viewer.
